A body undergoing CPR exists in a state that is neither fully dead nor fully alive. In this threshold, one’s life and death are executed by another; the spectator accesses the video through the medium of the screen, positioned both as an anesthetized subject and as a primary party in whom the possibilities of life and death overlap.
